Quin: I brushed really good and I used the chocolate toothpaste!
Me (pausing): The Chocolate Toothpaste?
Quin: Yeah! It was so yummy!
Me (with a sinking feeling): Show me the chocolate toothpaste, Quinny.
Quin: It was soo yummy! I LOVE chocolate Mama!
Me: Umm. Quin, That says "poultry flavor", not chocolate.

I can't believe I'm actually admitting this, but once, when I was VERY young, I used my grandfather's Preparation H as toothpaste. Let's just say it was not so yummy!

Reminds me of the time my brother-in-law tried to wash his hair with Nair hair remover. He was old enough to know better.
Also reminds me of the time my friend's grandmother tried to offer me a dog biscuit. To eat. Myself. I was 8 and had to tell her that I didn't want it because it was a DOG BISCUIT, not a people cookie! She was also old enough to know better!

Have you actually used the toothpaste on Doodle's teeth? I bought a tube for MurphyDog when she was a baby (1993!) used it once on her, and have never yet used it on PallyDog who is a year and a half. I think of it. Usually when I am nowhere near home, or sleeping, or at some other completely non-dog-toothbrushing time.
Oh well, I'll just save it for when the grandkids come visiting from Georgia!!
